The god's Junkyard

Here is the newest edition of Realm Walkers. Sorry about it being late, there will be a second post this month to make up for it. Hope you enjoy!

The god’s junkyard was amazing!  Thacia and Addy had been scavenging for it for forever!!!  Thacia had been dreaming, with a smug smile, of the time when they would FINALLY be able to go in!  But the stupid demigods weren’t listening to her and Addy for the hundredth time!!!  But whatever, Thacia would just ignore them back.  But, unfortunately, she didn’t have anytime to enact her revenge, because in that moment a speeding car barely missed her and the rest of the demigods.  Unfortunately, Thacia screamed along with the others in panic- breaking her record of no screams for a month.  After, a moment Thacia opened her squinted eyes to a blaring headlight.  She heard Addy’s voice beside her, “Freeze like a deer!”
Thacia and Addy froze in the headlights.  Thacia stayed frozen until she heard the driver get out of the car, and speak, “You screamed?”  he asked, disapprovingly.
Thacia frowned at the person who almost ran her over- who unfortunately happened to be Ares. “Yes, I did.  Do you have a problem with that?”
“No, daughter of mine screams.  You’re a disgrace.”  he turned his back to her, and Thacia glared daggers at him.
“Wait, what!?”  Grover shouted in disbelief.  “Your godly parent is Ares, the god of war?!”
“No!  Don’t you know!?”  Addy began to answer, “He calls everyone his daughter!”  she paused, “Of course, she’s his daughter, what do you think all her martial art skills came from?  Talent?  She had to have gotten it from somewhere.”
“You have martial art skills, Addy.  Is he your dad?”  Bianca asked.
Thacia laughed at the absurd thought.  “No!”  Addy answered, “You see, I have talent.”
“Hey!”  Thacia shouted, then punched Addy in the shoulder.
Thacia glanced over back to her dad, and saw he was shoving Percy into his car.  Thacia stood, “Hey dad, what are you doing!?”
“Relax, Thacia.”  Ares scowled, “Aphrodite just wants to talk to him.”
Thacia frowned deeper, then stood and stepped up closer to her dad, crossing her arms.  “So, how’s it been on Mount Olympus?”  she asked.
  “Shut up, kid.”
“How’s it been in California?  I saw you went to California.”
“I had pumpkin pie.”  he answered, a scowl on his face.
  “Pumpkin pie’s my favorite.”
“I know, I ate it just to torture you.”
“Well, I watched Sherlock.  Just to torture you.”  Thacia came up with a weak throwback.
  “I don’t like Sherlock.”
“She knows.  More Sherlock in the world tortures you.  There!!!”  Addy boomed out, siding Thacia in the argument.
“Good-bye.”  Ares stated as Percy climbed out of his car.
“Good-bye!”  Thacia shouted, and stomped away as her dad climbed into the car and took off.
Thacia brewed for a split second, then laughed, Addy broke into laughter also.  “I hate pumpkin pie!!”  Thacia gasped out.
“I know!”  Addy responded, “I always love yours and your dad’s conversations.”

Thacia and Addy did the happy dance together, as they jumped into the god’s junkyard, finally entering after all their years of looking and looking and looking.  They would find so many treasures, and nobody could stop them!  “Grover, don’t take anything.”  Percy told the satyr as he tried to chew on some old furniture.
Thacia’s eyes immediately fixed on Percy, and listened in shock of the conversation.  “Taking a thing from the god’s junkyard will trigger traps for us all.”  Zoe stated, agreeing with Percy.
Addy gasped, beside Thacia, “But that’s being mature!”
Thacia clapped her hands together, rubbing them, “We must not be mature!  We must steal the treasures!”
“No.”  Zoe stated again, as she walked by Thacia, proud and dramatic.
Thacia made a face, turning to Addy, who mouthed Zoe’s word, mocking her.  They began to laugh, but then Addy straightened, and Thacia straightened also, frowning dramatically.  “Shh, we must be mature.”  Addy said.
And with that, they walked into the junkyard like old monks.
For several minutes, Thacia resisted the itch to just take the precious treasures she saw all around her.  Eventually, she leaned toward Addy, and whispered, “I want them so badly!”
Addy nodded, her eyes wide with resist.  But with one nodding glance at each other the resistance in the two of them broke, and they scrambled for the hills upon hills of objects.  “Hey, you guys are gonna set off booby traps!!”  Thalia screamed up at Thacia and Addy.
“Oh, no need to be such a fuddy duddy!!”  Addy shouted back down, and Thacia jerked her head once vigorously, to agree.
“I swear you guys are more like Hermes’ kids!”  Thalia shouted back up in frustration.  “Get down here before you get us all killed!”
“We don’t need to listen to you!”  Thacia shouted down, then stuck out her tongue, from the corner of her eye, she saw Addy follow suit.
Despite her interjection though, they both climbed back down, and jump the last few feet.  Thalia glared at them both, the turned and stalked away.  Thacia smirked, and the two followed Thalia, keeping an eye for anything valuable.  After they were almost out of the junkyard, Thacia spotted some beautiful instruments of weaponry on the side, and elbowed Addy.  Addy smiled with delight, and they both quietly rushed over, snatching up the bow and arrows of Artemis, then returning to the walk of old monks.  They discreetly threw away their previous bow and arrows away as they walked, and continued.
Suddenly the sound of rusted metal rang in Thacia’s ears.  She spun on her heel, and found a large metal man beginning to attack the group.  “Metal man!”  Thacia shouted, warning the group, then quickly pulled an arrow from her quiver, and nock it.
Addy did the same beside her, while muttering to herself, “It’s the stupid treasures isn’t it!?  We set off a booby trap!  Great!  Just great!”
Thacia let the bow string slip from her fingers, flying toward the metal man.  From behind- as she continued shooting a volley of arrows- she heard Zoe confirm the metal man as a prototype of Talos.  “No idea who Talos is!”  Thacia shouted.
Thacia and Addy ran behind Talos, trying to get a better more paralyzing shot at him.  As they ran, Addy spoke, “Bianca just had a quick rapid conversation with Percy.  She said she stole a statue in the junkyard for some little brother.  So, she’s not the only one who stole something.  She tried to get rid of the statue, and of course nothing happened!”
Thacia and Addy halted behind the metal man, and took another shot- this time both hitting crucial wires, and slowing the hunk of metal down.  “We need to get rid of the bow and arrows.”  Addy shouted as Thacia sent a volley of three arrows at once.
“No way!”  Thacia shouted, “Did you see what I just did there!?”
Addy glared at her, and Thacia made a face as she picked up a rock and chucked it at the metal man.  “Bianca found a way to stop Talos, but she’d die!  Throw the stupid weapons down now, Thacia!!!”
An odd sound of dismay and annoyance came from Thacia’s suddenly gaping mouth, as she threw her brand new gorgeous weapons on the ground.  “Happy!?”  she shouted.
Addy nodded, and carefully set her’s on the ground also.  “Hey!  Nothing happened to the statue!”  Addy shouted, as she glanced back.
Thacia nodded with dramatic eyes at her remark, then stopped, when she heard a strange sound.  She glanced back behind her, and saw the statue stop, doing the chicken dance.  Behind Thacia, Addy began laughing, but she was to upset to join in and just watched in awe.  Then, the metal man fell over into the electrical lines.  Electricity jerked across it’s entire body, then died.  Thacia almost broke into laughter, when she glanced over to the group.  Four people were standing there, Grover, Thalia, Percy, and Zoe were standing still.  “Where’s Bianca?”  Thacia asked Addy.
Addy stopped laughing behind her, and they glanced at each other.  “Oh my gosh.”  Addy said, as they sprinted over to the others.  “Where’s Bianca?!”  they shouted as they ran.
When they joined the group, Zoe glanced at them with saddened eyes, “She’s gone.  She sacrificed herself to destroy the statue.”
Thacia’s mouth gaped open, and both she and Addy denied it at the same time, “You’re lying.”  they spoke.
