Traveling takes Patience

“Hermes!”  Thacia shouted at the top of her lungs, “We need you!”
Beside her, Addy shouted also.  Thacia placed her finger in her ear, plugging it viciously, “Do you need to be so loud?!”  Thacia asked, “I’m right here!”
Addy placed her palms over her ears, “Well, you don’t have to be so loud too!”
“I can be as loud as I want!”  Thacia shouted.
Thacia and Addy began arguing until they heard a groan from behind them.  “Girls, I’m right here.  No need to shout so loud.”
Thacia turned around, at the same time Addy did.  It was Hermes standing in front of them.  “So, what can I do for my two favorite demigods?”  he asked with a smile.
Thacia smirked at the sentence.  That was right.  She and Addy were his favorites.  Blow that in your face, Dad!  Addy launched into a very detailed and frustrated explanation of how they had gotten left behind.  Thacia put in a few nasty comments directed toward the abandoners too.  “So, we need you to take us to San Francisco,” Addy finished explaining.
He nodded and smiled, “Anything for my two favorite thieving demigods.”
“Now, before we go, we’re assuming you have some pretty funny stories of our dads today,” Addy asked.
Hermes nodded, “Yes.  We were talking just the other day, wondering how you two are not my kids.  I mean, don’t get offended, but you two are more like me than your fathers.”
“That’s because the world knew it couldn’t handle us as sisters,” Thacia answered.
Hermes rolled his eyes, “You two pretty much are sisters.”
Addy leaned into Hermes, raising her brow, “Exactly.  Imagine how much more horrifying we’d be as sisters.”
Hermes laughed, “Don’t even give me that thought.”
“So you taken us or what?!”  Thacia asked.
  Hermes nodded, “Traveling takes patience.”
“Wow, that was a wise saying for you, Hermes,” Addy commented.
Hermes stopped for a moment, looking away, “You’re right.  I’m getting to old.”
Thacia crossed her arms, waiting- trying to be patient-for the ride.  Hermes saw how impatient Thacia was getting, and rolled his eyes, “If you have to be in such a rush.”
Hermes snapped his fingers, and instantly the scenery changed.  It was horrible, loud, and smelly.  It was definitely San Francisco.  Hermes was still in front of us, and he pointed behind us.  “Your friends are right there, surrounded, and about to destroy the world.  Have fun.”  Then Hermes disappears.
Thacia turned and smiled at Addy, “This looks like fun!”
At her words, the monsters who surrounded their friends turned to Thacia and Addy.  Two broke off from the group, to run after us.  “Yes!”  Thacia shouted in triumphant glory, and saw Addy smile beside her.  “Let the excitement begin!”
And it certainly did.  For the next forty-five seconds, they fought the monsters off, and killed them.  When the last of the two were dead, Thacia turned to Addy and high fived her.  “No sweat!”
Addy high fived her, than frowned.  “What?”  Thacia asked.
“They’re leaving us again,” Addy said, as she passed Thacia, and sprinted after them.
“Again!?”  Thacia yelled, as she turned and followed Addy.
After a few minutes of running, they caught up, and they all stopped.  Thacia furrowed her brow at the sight of an sea cow in the ocean beside them, and Grover slipping into it.  “What’s that again?”  Thacia asked.
  “That’s an Ophiotaurus,” Addy answered.
Thacia nodded, and she and Addy cleared their throats at the same time.  Percy, Zoe, and Thalia all turned around to face them.  “All right,” Thacia said.  Addy continued, “Update.”
